Know Your EV's True Value: Independent Battery Health Assessment

The high-voltage battery is the single most valuable and expensive component of any electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle. Eliminate the uncertainty in buying, selling, or owning an EV with our fast, reliable, and manufacturer-independent State of Health (SoH) assessment. Battery condition is never uniform; many factors—from climate to charging habits—can severely affect a battery's capacity and performance.

What is a battery state of health assessment?

A Battery State of Health (SoH) assessment is a critical diagnostic process that evaluates the current performance and overall condition of a battery compared to its specifications when it was brand new.It provides a quantifiable "health report" for the battery, most commonly expressed as a percentage (%).

State of Health (SoH) is a measure of how much a battery has degraded over time and use.

  • 100% SoH: The battery is in its original, brand-new condition and the user requirements, meeting all manufacturer specifications.
  • 70%-80% SoH (Typical End-of-Life for EV): For applications like Electric Vehicles, this range is often considered the threshold where the battery's capacity or power output is no longer adequate for its primary use, indicating the need for replacement or repurposing (second life).

Why Get Tested? Certainty, Value, and Safety

An independent SoH certificate builds trust and provides assurance in a market often plagued by missrepresentation.

  • Maximize Resale Value: Vehicles with documented battery health achieve higher sales prices and sell faster, providing a clear financial advantage for sellers.
  • Gain True Objectivity: The test provides an independent, third-party SoH value, which is often more accurate than the estimated readings displayed by the car's own internal Battery Management System (BMS).
  • Identify Hidden Faults: The detailed report checks the functionality of the BMS, sensor accuracy, and individual cell voltages to rule out hidden defects and potential "Red Flags" that could lead to costly repairs.
  • Predict Real-World Range: The SoH value allows buyers and owners to accurately calculate the remaining storable energy (kWh) and set realistic expectations for the vehicle's driving range.
